Cliff, Tamsie, and Evangelyn are bound to have years of memories together as good friends. They kind of have to when their mamas are best friends! It is sweet to see their little friendships unfold. Here are Evie and Cliff the day he first met the twins. Shelby and I may have forced some hand holding…but can you blame us?
Cliff was a mere 1 week old and the twins were nearly 5 months. (Tamsie was having a rough night as I recall, so she was in the back with her dad.)
At their next interaction (in Louisville, KY, where the twins used to live), they spent most of their time together lying around and staring/smiling at each other. Cliff was 5 weeks and the girls were 6 months.
I remember the girls were kicking their legs like crazy and rolling over and Cliff was just chillin’. (Tamsie’s on the last and Evie’s on the right).
(Evie’s on the left and Tamsie’s on the right.)
And then, Cliff and Evie shared some more smiles and inquisitive stares when they played together in a pack n’ play one time while the twins visited Memphis. Cliff was 8 weeks and the girls were seven months.
Shelby and I often joke that Evie is Cliff’s girlfriend because so far she seems to pay him more attention than Tamsie does. In fact, you’ll see what I mean in the photo below; she made a pass at him by grabbing his hand. This time, the hand holding was NOT staged and I happened to be there to snap the shot! Cliff’s facial expression is priceless.
Now that the twins have moved to Memphis, we get to see them a whole lot more!
They now…
…go to baseball games together…
…go on long walks together…
…and of course play together! Here they are yesterday, playing in the twins’ GIANT playpen:
Cliff is 10 months and the girls are 14 months. It’s was like a little soap opera in there.
Tamsie is doing this funny thing now where she has one item (of a matching trio of toys) in her mouth and one in each hand. She just walks around like she’s got a million things to do and she even tries to talk (mmm mmm uuuph!!) in an effort to provide her audience with important messages…about the toys, perhaps?? Regardless, Cliff and Evie were in their own separate worlds.
“Toys!!!!”
There were a few tears when Cliff grabbed the door Tamsie was playing with. “Cliff, how could you??!”
But then seconds later, Tamsie was over it and was trying to impress Cliff with her abilities to crawl through the tunnel toy!
Just look at that proud Tamsie face!
Each baby always had her/his own agenda. Please note Cliff playing Peek-a-boo in the middle of the circle in the midst of all else that was going on!
Then Evie decided she was ready to join in with Cliff again.
Watch what Evie does with this box…
Yes, Evie did a headstand in the box!! Accidental or planned? We will never know. But Cliff was quick to spot her.
Here’s to many more years of laughs and fun times for these 3 little friends!
…Brought together by these 2 friends!
